There are specialised products for cleaning tiles, but here are a few options for foolproof home remedies:
TRICK 1: IDEAL FOR FAT PROBLEMS
For this first option, you will need a bucket or similar container to mix 1 capful of ammonia and half a litre of water. Once you have prepared the mixture, soak a sponge in the product and apply it to the tiles. There is no need to rinse; simply wipe with a damp cloth and then a dry one. This trick is especially effective for grease problems.
TRICK 2: LIKE A KITCHEN RECIPE
Another alternative to make your tiles shine like the first day is to mix a third of a glass of baking soda, a third of water and a third of salt. Mix these three ingredients in equal parts, pour the mixture onto a sponge and rub the tiles. Then remove the product with a wet cloth, followed by a dry one. You will be impressed with the results.
TRICK 3: IDEAL FOR LIMESCALE PROBLEMS
If the first two options do not convince you, here is another alternative. You will need a medium glass of vinegar, the same amount of squeezed lemon, half a litre of water, a sponge and two cloths. First, wipe the sponge on the tiles, leave it to act for five minutes and then remove the product with a damp cloth and a dry cloth. This trick is especially effective for eliminating limescale problems.
TRICK 4: OUR FAVOURITE
Here's our favourite trick. For this one, you'll need toothpaste with baking soda, a brush or sponge, cold water and two cloths. Scrub hard using the brush or sponge, then wipe with a damp cloth and finally a dry one. This is our favourite because you don't need to buy anything other than products you probably have at home.
TRICK 5: WATERING
Finally, here is a slightly different alternative. First, you will need a spray bottle in which to prepare the mixture. Fill the spray bottle with one third water, one third ammonia and one third methylated spirits. Spray this mixture onto the tiles, allow it to work for a while and then wipe it off with a clean cloth.
After using any of these options, we recommend applying talcum powder for even more shine.
