Have you ever noticed how the joints between the tiles in your kitchen or bathroom start to darken and accumulate mould?
Beyond aesthetics, keeping these spaces clean is essential for the health and hygiene of your home. In this post we show you how to remove dirt from the joints and revitalise your tiles with effective cleaning products.
Find out how to make your space look as good as new!
AMMONIA TO FIGHT GREASE ON YOUR TILES
Ammonia is a very effective product and its speed will surprise you. Ammonia takes care of everything, leaving a shiny surface with no trace of dirt. Just follow the simple steps below and you can say goodbye to stubborn stains and encrusted grease!
1. Preparation
Ventilate the area well and be sure to wear gloves to protect your hands.
It's time to let the power of ammonia work its magic!
2. Dilution
Mix a small amount of ammonia with water in a container. A ratio of one part ammonia to four parts water is usually sufficient. This mixture ensures effective cleaning without compromising your safety.
3. Application
Con un paño o esponja, sumerge en la solución de amoniaco y agua y aplícalo generosamente sobre los azulejos. Asegúrate de cubrir todas las áreas afectadas por la grasa y la suciedad.
You will see how ammonia works instantly!
4. Rinse
Once you have cleaned all the tiles, rinse them with clean water to remove any ammonia residue. Be sure to dry them thoroughly to avoid stains and leave them shining like new.
GLASS CLEANER vs GASKET DIRT
Another trick to remove dirt from tile grouting is by using glass cleaner. The genius of the glass cleaner lies in its ability to disintegrate the most stubborn grease, even in the most difficult to reach areas. Its fast and effective action guarantees surprising results with every use. It is very interesting to use this product regularly near the hob or glass-ceramic hob. Simply spray on and wipe off with a cloth.
And clean in the blink of an eye!
HYDROGEN PEROXIDE, EXCELLENT FOR DAMP AREAS
Get ready to discover the best-kept secret to combat wet spots: hydrogen peroxide! Its powerful disinfectant and whitening effect makes it the perfect ally to combat the most humid areas, leaving them impeccable and free of bacteria.
How do you apply it? Simply pour hydrogen peroxide into a spray bottle and spray generously over the shower or bathtub. Leave it to work for a few minutes to allow it to penetrate the surface and remove moisture and stains. Then use a clean, dry cloth to reveal a fresh, shiny surface.
BURNING ALCOHOL FOR FREQUENT CLEANING OF TILES
Burning alcohol is a very effective product for cleaning grout joints in no time at all. Apply the product to a lint-free cotton cloth and rub the tiles with it.
If you want an even shinier result, it is possible! Mix burnt alcohol and ammonia in equal parts. Here are the simple steps below:
1. The ideal mix
Once the methylated spirits and ammonia have been mixed, a little concentrated detergent and half a litre of water can be added.
2. The application
Use a cloth or newspaper, with the mixture soaked into the cloth or by spraying first and then wiping. And that's it!
A MIX OF PRODUCTS FOR CLEANING DARK JOINTS
Baking soda, vinegar and hot water are perfect for cleaning darker grout. This formula is less aggressive when it comes to cleaning blackened tile grout. It's also amazing how easy it is. Simply mix baking soda and vinegar to form a paste, apply it to the dark grout and let it sit for a few minutes. Then use a brush or sponge to scrub gently and rinse with warm water. With this simple combination, your grout will regain its original shine.
TOOTHPASTE, IDEAL FOR WHITENING TILE GROUTS
Toothpastes have a whitening formula with bicarbonate that is an excellent remedy to finish cleaning the tiles and leave them as good as new. Just spread the paste with a brush or sponge and rub it in quickly. Then rinse them with cold water and they will be shiny!
