Porcelain stoneware is a very practical material as it is easy to maintain and clean
We recommend cleaning with a mop soaked in hot water and a regular neutral detergent, such as one available at supermarkets. In our selection of products, you will find a high-performance neutral detergent especially suitable for ceramic surfaces.
If the stains are stubborn, we suggest using specific detergents dissolved in water, allowing them to act for the time indicated on the product label.
Which products to use depending on the type of stain?
- Acidic product: Ideal for removing marks caused by rubbing with objects such as iron, aluminium or nickel, lime deposits, or rust stains.
- Alkaline detergent: Recommended for removing dirt from animal or vegetable fats, rubber or heel marks, oils, food dyes, shoe polish, or common stains such as beer, wine, and coffee.
Before using aggressive cleaning agents, we advise testing them on a small, inconspicuous area of the tile or grout to prevent any damage or visible alteration to the surface.
How to apply cleaning products for tough stains?
1st – Soak the surface to be cleaned with clean water. This prevents the grout from absorbing the chemicals. After treatment, rinse thoroughly to eliminate any chemical residue.
2nd – Apply the product directly to the stain, let it sit for a few minutes, then scrub vigorously with a brush made of stiff plastic bristles.
3rd – Finally, rinse the area thoroughly with plenty of water, using your usual floor cleaner.
* For glossy or polished finishes, the process should be done more carefully, as these are more delicate surfaces.
